Hello & Welcome

Thank you for your interest in our garden club!  We are located in Hampden, Maine.  Whether you live in Hampden, or in a town close by, our group is a wonderful way to become involved in a lovely community nestled next to the Penobscot River.  You do not need to be a gardener, or have a garden of your own to join our group.  Many of us are simply nature enthusiasts.  Every member is at a different skill level, from novice to advanced, and happy to help and share experiences.

New members are always welcome!

Harmony Hall Needs Your Support

Harmony Hall is a historic landmark that has stood proudly on Kennebec Road in Hampden since 1828. It has been cared for by the Garden Club since 1937 and owned by us since 1966. Harmony Hall is one of Hampden’s oldest public buildings and rich in local, state, and national history.

Recently, it has become obvious to us that the building has significant repair issues such as roof damage that has resulted in leaks damaging interior plaster and ceiling stability.  A new roof is essential to ensure the building’s continued integrity and accessibility for future generations.

Your donation, no matter the size, will directly contribute to a roof replacement and help us to maintain the unique architectural character of Harmony Hall.  We are deeply grateful for your support and commitment to preserving our shared history.  To make a donation, please send a check to Hampden Garden Club, P.O. Box 36, Hampden, Maine 04444 or donate online:
